Job Details:

* 3x12-hour night shifts per week
* 2 years of nursing experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
* Half of weekend shifts required per contract
* One pre-approved time off request allowed
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Unit contains 16 rooms and 16 beds
* Patients are adults only
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Chest tubes, CVA management, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, Cardiac drip management, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Non-invasive airway management, Ortho trauma, PCA, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Post MI care, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Spinal cord injury, Starting and maintaining IVs, Surgical drains, Telemetry monitoring, Total joint replacement, Tracheostomy care/management, Traumatic Brain Injury, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, and Wound Care/Wound Vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation

This healthcare facility operates a PCU/Step-Down unit with 16 beds designed to provide intermediate-level care for adult patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams, ensuring well-rounded patient care. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and maintains consistent patient ratios across all shifts.
