Job Details:
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
* On-call is voluntary; may be placed on call if not needed for scheduled shift
* Must be willing to float to Perinatal if needed
* Must have Epic experience
* Self-scheduling unit
* 36 orientation hours
* Care for patient population including neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Low and high risk labor and delivery cases
* Unit includes 4 triage rooms, 11 LDR rooms, 2 ORs, NICU, and Post-Partum with 24-hour OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia support
* Required skills: use of external fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and circulate for C-section
* Unit systems: SBAR, Omnicell, and Allscripts (eMD)
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
* Active California license required
* RTO must be submitted with application; no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
* Maximum of 3 days RTO per contract; RTO cannot be changed once submitted unless canceling
* 1 holiday RTO may be submitted but is not guaranteed to be approved; must be willing to work most holidays
* Smoke/nicotine-free facility; must arrive free of tobacco odor

This facility operates a comprehensive labor and delivery unit equipped to handle both low and high risk obstetric cases. The unit features triage rooms, LDR rooms, operating rooms, NICU, and post-partum care with around-the-clock OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia support. The facility provides a robust interdisciplinary support network and maintains high standards for patient care across a diverse obstetric patient population.
