Opportunity:
IR Tech
Job Details:
* 13-week temporary contract assignment
* 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* 40 guaranteed hours per week
* On-call required, including weekends and holidays
* Hospital provided scrubs/dress code
* Assist in advanced procedures such as pulmonary thrombectomy, AAA, TEVAR, and FEVAR
* Assist with complex procedures including multiple wire exchanges, long wires, and OTW balloons
* Operate specialty devices such as laser, penumbra, Inari, and shockwave equipment
* Circulate, monitor, and scrub all Interventional Vascular procedures
* Troubleshoot imaging equipment in collaboration with biomedical engineers
* Participate in procedural charging and maintain supply management
* Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
* Communicate with physicians regarding plan of action and assist with high-risk procedures
* Cross-train as needed to support departmental needs
* Work with x-ray systems including panning table and various imaging angles
* Manage access site including proper sheath removal, hematoma assessment, and management
* Apply knowledge of radiation safety concepts and vascular anatomy
* Precept new staff and students as an Interventional Vascular Specialist
* Required certifications: ARRT-R (with VI or CV credential) or RCIS, BLS
* Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Vascular Specialist, IR Technologist, or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist required
* 3-5 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
