Opportunity:

RN - PCU/ICU

Job Details:

* Night shift position, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend schedule with nights requiring Friday and Saturday coverage
* Holiday rotation with permanent staff
* Primarily PCU with floating to ICU as needed
* Float eligible between all ICUs and PCU within the unit
* May be required to float throughout Region Two facilities in the Lakewood, Enumclaw, and Tacoma, WA areas with a rate differential when floated outside of primary location
* ICU patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2; PCU patient ratios of 1:3
* 82 critical care beds total across 3 separate floors (48 ICU, 34 PCU)
* Charting system: EPIC
* All ICU-level drips required; PCU drips include Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin - no pressors in PCU
* Ventilator experience required for ICU (no vents in PCU)
* IABP or CRRT not required unless traveler has that experience
* Tele/monitor techs available in PCU only
* RT, pharmacy, and IV team available 24/7
* Dayshift intensivist on site; nights covered via virtual ICU with ARNP available for overnight procedures
* Orientation consists of a minimum of 2 shifts up to 1 week with an educator
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* No scrub color requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS

This acute care facility operates an 82-bed critical care unit spanning 3 separate floors, including 48 ICU beds and 34 PCU beds. The facility provides comprehensive critical care services supported by 24/7 respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and IV team availability. Advanced support includes virtual ICU coverage overnight and in-house ARNP for procedures, ensuring continuous high-quality patient care across all shifts.
