Opportunity:
Pharmacist
Job Details:
* 7 days on / 7 days off block schedule rotation
* Approximately 30-60 days of night shift initially, then transition to day shift with the same 7 on / 7 off rotation
* Shift hours: 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM (day shift)
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* No floating between units
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Hospital experience is required - retail pharmacy experience alone will not be considered
* At least some exposure to pediatrics required
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrub color: Navy
* Required certifications: BLS, TX License, PharmD, RPh
* Required skills include: antibiotics, anticoagulation therapy, cardiovascular, chemotherapy, compounding, high-alert medications, IV piggyback, IV push medications, pediatric dosing, pharmacokinetic dosing, Pyxis, sterile technique, therapeutic medication monitoring, TPN mixing, and warfarin dosing

This facility is a Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 total staffed beds. The facility is dedicated to providing specialized pediatric care across a wide range of patient needs, from neonates to adolescents.
