Opportunity:

RN - Urgent Care

Job Details:

* Work within the Urgent Care Department to assist patients and medical staff within the ambulatory care setting
* Responsible for the overall operation of the clinic
* Provide clinical services in collaboration with providers, clinic staff, and management to ensure excellent quality of care
* Provide leadership and direction to clinic staff ensuring efficient operation of all aspects of the clinic including front desk and patient care
* Maintain medication inventory and supplies
* Ensure necessary quality control checks are completed with Point of Care tests
* Clearly and correctly document all care and services provided in a timely manner
* Oversee the opening and closing of provider clinics
* Assist providers and other staff as needed, anticipating needs to ensure efficient and quality patient care
* Communicate effectively with other departments to serve as an effective resource for patients, providers, and fellow clinic staff
* Maintain skill sets, annual competencies, certifications, and participate in in-services and educational programs
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment including adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment
* Must have active Alaska nursing license at time of submittal
* Minimum 2 years of urgent care experience required, must be within the last 2 years
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
* Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong oral and written communication skills required
* Proficiency in use of computers and medical equipment required
* Must live at least 100+ miles away from the facility address
