RN - L&D

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required
* Care for high-risk labor and antepartum patients, including patients with epidurals, insulin drips, IV magnesium, and preterm labor
* Circulate in the OR and serve as baby nurse at delivery
* Float to other Women & Children units including NICU, Pediatrics, and postpartum unit with float-appropriate, lower acuity assignments
* Follow AWHONN standards for patient assignments, typically 1 labor patient per nurse or 2-3 antepartum patients
* Work alongside OB hospitalist available 24/7, break nurse, and resource nurse with OB Scrub Techs providing additional support
* Utilize Epic for computerized charting and Omnicell for medication management
* Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or equivalent
* Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs for L&D, personal scrubs for postpartum unit

This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering comprehensive Women & Children's services. The facility maintains an OB hospitalist on-site 24/7 and supports a full continuum of Women & Children's care including Labor & Delivery, NICU, Pediatrics, and postpartum services. The organization follows AWHONN standards for patient care and utilizes modern technology including Epic and Omnicell systems to support clinical staff.
