Opportunity:

Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* 5x8 shift schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* Holiday rotation required
* Floating within scope to meet facility needs required
* May be required to float or be permanently switched to CSC, ART, or West Campus
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Travel experience required
* Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
* Preferred case experience includes: Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Transplant, and GYN
* Required certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA (IAHCSMM)
* BLS not required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks for guaranteed hours
* No more than 2 callouts permitted without a doctor's note; 3rd callout may result in removal
* No more than 3 tardies permitted
* Travelers will be added to the Inclement Weather Team A or B with expectations provided by management
* Skills required include: sterilization wrapping procedures, high-level disinfection, immediate-use steam sterilization, scope/probe reprocessing, sets/tray assembly, use of washers/sterilizers, aseptic technique, biological and chemical indicators, and fiber optics
* Case types include: Cardiac, Orthopedics, Neurology, OB/GYN, Urology, Robotics, Transplant, ENT, Ophthalmology, Laparoscopic, and Plastics
* Serves patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

Facility:

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. It offers a comprehensive range of surgical and specialty services and maintains high standards of patient care across multiple campuses. Parking is available with a one-time payment of $20 for a parking pass, applicable for nights and weekends only.
