Job Details:

* 13 or 26 week contract options available
* Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
* Weekend coverage required every other weekend
* Float required - may be floated to other units based on need and skill set
* Staffing ratio of 1:6 on nights
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Unit serves as the inpatient unit for stroke and TIA patients, as well as higher acuity med-surg patients
* Highly focused on patient experience
* Patient diagnoses include: Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Pneumonia, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
* Procedures include peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
* Medication system used is Omnicell
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Previous charge experience required
* Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
* Travel experience required - no first-time travelers
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Active Tennessee RN license required
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tubes, colostomy/ileostomy management, continuous bladder irrigation, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, managing cardiac drips (no titration), telemetry, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, PCA management, peripheral and PICC line management, substance withdrawal, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
