Inpatient SLP Days

Job Details:

* Day shift position in an inpatient setting
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
* Work with a speech caseload of 10-14 patients between acute care and an 18-bed rehab unit
* Average daily census of 8-9 patients on rehab unit
* Treatment sessions are 45 minutes in length
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include stroke, Parkinson's disease, other neurological conditions, swallowing deficits, and cognitive deficits
* Complete evaluations and treatments for rehab patients with swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits
* Required skills include: Acute Care, Dysphagia, Bedside Swallow Evaluation, Trach/Vent, Passy Muir Valves, Conducting Modified Barium Swallow Studies, Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices, Patient/Family Education, and standardized assessments including WAB, BAE, NOMS, and BIMS
* Charting experience required; Epic system used
* May be required to float to like units within scope based on facility needs
* Required certifications: BLS
* Valid Kansas SLP license required and must be in hand at time of submission
