Job Details:

* Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
* Night shift availability preferred; straight days will not be accepted
* Weekend coverage required with 4 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
* 27 rooms and 34 beds on unit
* Patients include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Cerner charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certification: BLS (AHA only accepted)
* Active PA or Compact license required
* Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
* Must be available to work every other holiday
* Two supervisor references preferred
* Required skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, Bariatric Surgery, BiPAP/CPAP Management, Blood Product Administration, Central Line Blood Draw, Chest Tubes, Colostomy/Ileostomy Management, Continuous Bladder Irrigation, Feeding Tube Care, Heparin, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Insulin, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Management of Dysrhythmias, Non-Invasive Airway Management, PCA, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC Line Management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Renal Failure, Starting and Maintaining IVs, Surgical Drains, Thyroidectomy, Total Joint Replacement, Tracheostomy Care/Management, Wound Care/Wound Vac, and more
* Special procedures include post-op joint replacement, post-op weight loss management surgery, and post-op general surgery
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
