L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend requirement with 12 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
* 11-room/11-bed LDRP unit providing couplet care
* Most newborns will room in with parents as couplet care is provided
* Candidate must be able to care for laboring patients, couplet care, and triage
* 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers welcome
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
* Required skills include: assisting with vaginal delivery, cesarean section, couplet care, infant identification, labor & delivery, LDRP, mother/baby, newborn assessment, newborn hypoglycemia, phototherapy, C-section recovery, thermoregulation, triage of obstetrical patients, breastfeeding/lactation support, and circumcision assist/post-op assessment
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs

This facility operates an LDRP unit with 11 beds and 11 rooms, offering comprehensive labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care in a couplet care model. The unit is supported by a full interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services, ensuring well-rounded patient care for mothers and neonates.
