Opportunity:
RN - Urgent Care
Job Details:
* Clinic is open 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM with 40 hours scheduled across the week
* Provide clinical services within the outpatient/ambulatory care setting working alongside providers, clinic staff, and management
* Provide leadership and direction to clinic staff ensuring efficient operation of all aspects of the clinic including front desk and patient care
* Oversee opening and closing of provider clinics
* Assist providers and other staff as needed, anticipating needs to ensure efficient and quality patient care
* Maintain medication inventory and supplies and ensure necessary quality control checks are completed for Point of Care tests
* Clearly and correctly document all care and services provided in a professional and timely manner
* Communicate effectively with other departments to serve as a resource for patients, providers, and clinic staff
* Maintain skill sets, annual competencies, and certifications; participate in in-services, educational programs, and staff meetings
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment including adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment
* Must have an active Alaska nursing license at time of submittal
* 1 year of emergency care experience required (ER, urgent care, or flight nurse)
* Urgent care experience must be within the last 2 years
* Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
* Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
* High school diploma or equivalent required
