Job Details:

* Night shift position on a Progressive Care Unit located at the Heart Hospital, functioning as a cardiac stepdown unit with a significant cardiac patient population
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 48 hours straight time
* Patient ratios of 1:4-5
* Weekend requirement: as needed, rotating
* Float requirement: Yes - travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope as needed
* No on-call requirement
* Block scheduling considered on a case by case basis
* Self-scheduling
* 55 beds on unit with a daily census of 38
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Primary patient diagnoses include CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, and cardiovascular-related conditions
* Cardiovascular experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; CPI preferred
* Scrub color: Any (no logo)
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tubes, CVA management, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management and titration, post cardiac angiogram, post MI care, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, sheath removal, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, and more
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more

The facility is equipped to handle a wide range of cardiovascular conditions and procedures, supported by a team of specialists in physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and more.
