Open Position: RN - MICU

Opportunity:

RN MICU

Job Details:

* Travel RN position in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
* 13-week assignment
* Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Rotating weekend schedule
* No on-call requirements
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Minimum 2+ years of MICU/MSICU experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; CCRN preferred
* Active RN Texas license required - temporary license will not be accepted
* Work with ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
* Documentation system: Meditech (experience preferred)
* Perform central line placements, bedside procedures such as thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU procedures
* Patient assignments determined according to acuity and skills
* Floating required as needed
* Royal blue scrubs required
* No artificial nails, gel, or next gen nails permitted; nails must be clean and healthy
* Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer; no extreme styles or colors
* Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose rings and tongue rings

This facility is a full-service medical center offering comprehensive critical care services within its Medical Intensive Care Unit. The unit is equipped with advanced ICU technology and supports a wide range of complex procedures including central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations. The facility utilizes Meditech for documentation and maintains high standards for patient care through acuity-based staffing assignments.
