Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Mixed ICU unit caring for a variety of patients including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgery patients
* Care for post-operative open-heart patients as well as patients requiring VV and VA ECMO, balloon pump, Impella, and CRRT
* Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 depending on acuity
* Perform bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, GI scopes, chest tube insertions, and arterial and central line insertions
* Provide airway care and frequent drip titrations
* Work with equipment including Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, Vigilance II monitors, Impella, ECMO Maquet Cardiohelp, Medtronic Vital Flow, and NICOM
* EMR system: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
* Minimum 1 year of current ICU hospital experience required
* CVICU/CTICU experience with care of immediate post-operative open-heart surgery patients preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work as a team member required
* 38-bed unit with Level II Trauma Center designation
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 16-18 staff members

This facility is a Level II Trauma Center housing a 38-bed mixed ICU on the third floor of the main building. The unit is staffed with a team of 125 nursing professionals and is equipped with advanced technology to support a wide range of critical care needs. The unit fosters a warm and collaborative work environment, with a team known for working well together and providing high-quality patient care across medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical specialties.
