CONTRACT - RN - OUTP SURG (786) - 13 WEEKS - 8:30A-7:00P

Job Details:

* 13-week contract assignment
* Day shift hours from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
* Call shifts required, approximately 2-4 call shifts every 4 weeks
* Weekend on-call coverage required from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
* Work in an 18-bed outpatient surgery unit with 9 double-occupancy rooms
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Day shift staffing consists of 6-8 RNs per shift
* Perform pre-operative and post-operative care for endoscopy, general surgery, GI, orthopedic, urology, spine, gynecology, breast oncology/reconstruction, podiatry, cardioversion, heart cath, IR procedures, and bronchoscopy patients
* Pre-op and post-op experience required
* Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
* Hospital nursing experience preferred
* ACLS certification required
* EMR system used is Meditech
* Required dress code: Navy blue
* Must be team oriented with strong critical thinking skills and ability to work under pressure
* Must have flexibility with scheduling and ability to work with minimal staff during call

This healthcare facility operates a dedicated outpatient surgery unit featuring 18 beds across 9 double-occupancy rooms. The unit supports a wide range of surgical specialties and procedures, staffed by experienced full-time registered nurses working collaboratively with shared PACU staff.
