Opportunity:

Labor and Delivery RN

Job Details:

* 36 guaranteed hours per week with a 1:2 patient ratio
* Client can cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week assignment
* Weekend requirements are 2 weekends every 6 weeks; night shift weekends can include Fridays
* No on-call requirements
* No floating within the facility required
* Block scheduling is not available
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Charting system: Cerner
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, NRP Advanced (must include all 11 components), Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), EFM
* Special skills required: Vaginal exam ability/experience, baby care ability/experience, and experience with fewer than 100 to more than 300 births
* Patient population includes adolescents with diagnoses related to Labor and Delivery and High-Risk OB
* Unit consists of 33 rooms and 33 beds with a daily census of approximately 37 patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
* Scrubs: No specific color required, but camouflage and character patterns are not permitted
* Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos must be covered, no visible body piercings other than earrings, no facial or nose rings, and earrings may not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoop earrings
* Parking is free
