Opportunity:

RN - TCU/Stepdown/PCU (Float Pool)

Job Details:

* Float pool position - not unit based
* 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, scheduled 7:00 AM?7:30 PM or 7:00 PM?7:30 AM
* 36-hour work week with three 12-hour shifts
* Shifts within a 4-week schedule cycle will be either AM or PM; shifts may rotate between AM and PM
* Weekends required based on operational need
* Must be able to float to multiple facilities and units within a 75+ mile radius
* May be assigned to ED for boarded patients and/or assist with tasks
* May be assigned to PACU for boarded patients
* Patient ratio is 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Travel experience required; no first-time travelers
* Minimum 2.5 years of recent TCU/Stepdown/PCU experience required (must be consistent/tagged as home unit; float experience is not sufficient)
* Trauma Level II experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Charting system: Epic
* Required certifications: CA RN license, BSN, AHA BLS, ACLS
* Preferred certifications: NIHSS
* Key skills include cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tube management, intracranial bleed care, neuro stepdown, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, IV insulin protocols, vasoactive drip management, and more
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
* All previously disclosed RTO must be approved by manager at time of offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract; RTO cannot fall within the first two weeks of start
