RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Assignment on 8T unit focused on Oncology and General Surgery
* 24-bed unit operating under a primary nursing care model
* Patient ratio of 1:5 (estimated, never guaranteed)
* Day shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and an Admin Care Tech
* Perform standard med/surg care including vital signs every 8 hours
* Remote telemetry patients require vital signs every 4 hours
* Chemotherapy administration performed by chemo-certified nurses only
* EMR system: Meditech
* iPhone nursing system used for team communication
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Med/Surg experience required
* BLS certification required
* Chemo certification preferred
* ACLS preferred
* Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team required
