Opportunity:
LTAC ICU - NIGHT
Job Details:
* Night shift position within a Long-Term Acute Care (LTACH) unit
* 36 or 48 hours per week accepted; standard schedule is 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
* Weekends are supported by a rotating on-call schedule among 6 to 8 staff members
* On-call coverage required after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends, supported by primary and backup call
* Contract options available: 13 or 26 weeks
* Staff work both the 12-bed ICU and 35-bed Med-Surg unit
* Float requirement to Med-Surg at a 1:5 patient ratio
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics (18 years and older)
* Patient diagnoses include vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, trach/PEG management
* 2 years of ICU experience required
* Neurology experience required
* LTAC experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Key clinical skills required include: arterial line management, IV vasopressors, mechanical ventilation modes, tracheostomy care, continuous IV sedation, central line care, chest tubes, complex wound care, stroke scale assessment, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Scheduling type: block scheduling
* Weekend coverage required
