Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* 13 or 26 week contracts available
* 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Epic experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
* Staffing ratio of 1:1-3
* Float required to Post-Partum and possibly Labor & Delivery at sister facility based on skill set
* Care for patient age groups including adolescents, infants, and adults
* Patient diagnoses include labor and preterm labor; unit includes 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
* Perform circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub, low risk antepartum, and low risk labor and delivery duties
* Required procedures include blood and blood products administration, cardioversion and defibrillation, cooling and warming blanket use, drain management, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate administration
* Required to attend all deliveries including high risk deliveries
* Experience with GYN surgeries, couplet care, low risk antepartum, and transition nursery required
* Skills required include anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, epidural anesthesia, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, central line maintenance, sterile vaginal exams, obstetrical patient triage, IUPC placement and calibration, and wound assessment and care
* May request up to 2 major holidays off; required to work 1 of 3 holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, and New Year's/Eve
