RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required; travel experience required
* Every other weekend requirement
* No on-call required
* Will float to postpartum if census requires
* Facility can call off once per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours policy)
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (or NCC EFM in lieu of AWHONN), BLS, NRP, FHM (AHA certification required for ACLS/BLS)
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrub color: Navy Blue (L&D/OR scrubs provided by facility)
* Must be able to work in an OR suite during C-sections
* Skills include: fetal heart monitoring, high-risk pregnancy monitoring, C-sections, vaginal deliveries, antepartum and intrapartum care, circulating for vaginal deliveries and C-sections, newborn role at delivery, postpartum couplet care (newborn and maternal) is a bonus
* Unit includes 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms
* Patient age groups: neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Average census of approximately 200 deliveries per month
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Patient privacy is extremely important
* Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Facility:

This is an acute care hospital with 266 total staffed beds located beachside. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The Labor & Delivery unit is a full-service perinatal program capable of managing high-risk pregnancies, antepartum care, intrapartum care, surgical deliveries, and postpartum care in a high-volume environment.
