RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* May float to postpartum if census requires
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; travel experience required
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Unit consists of 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms
* Perform fetal heart monitoring and high risk pregnancy monitoring
* Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate for C-sections
* Scrub for C-sections and perform sterile vaginal exams
* Ability to work in OR suite during C-sections required (standard equipment)
* High risk antepartum care required
* Postpartum couplet care (newborn and maternal) is a bonus skill
* Newborn role at delivery preferred
* Facility averages 200?300 births per month
* Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Navy Blue for RNs; L&D/OR scrubs provided by facility
* Guaranteed hours: facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO must be submitted at time of submission; post-submittal RTO may not be considered
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Advanced (NCC EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN), FHM
* Privacy is extremely important as the facility serves a high-profile patient population
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This acute care hospital features 266 staffed beds and is located in a beachside setting, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for labor and delivery professionals. The facility delivers 200?300 babies per month and provides comprehensive perinatal services including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and surgical obstetric care. The unit is supported by a full interdisciplinary team and operates with a strong emphasis on patient privacy and high-quality care.
