Job Details:

* Night shift position in an inpatient rehabilitation unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 8 patients per nurse
* 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* BLS certification required
* Charting system: Epic (preferred)
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital, LTAC, and trauma experience preferred
* Experience with Epic charting system preferred
* Patient population: Adults
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams and Phlebotomy
* Expected to float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
* Required skills include: acute inpatient rehab, administration of blood and blood products, anticoagulation therapy, blood glucose monitoring, care of ventilated patients, CVA management, diabetic teaching, fall risk assessment and prevention, foley catheter removal, insulin protocols, isolation precautions and PPE, mobilization techniques, NG tube insertion and management, pain assessment and management, PEG tube feeding and management, post cardiac surgery care, post craniotomy care, pressure ulcer assessment and prevention, spinal cord injury care, starting and maintaining IVs, stroke scale assessment, tracheostomy care and management, traumatic brain injury care, venous blood draws, and wound care

This facility is an inpatient rehabilitation center providing specialized care for adult patients recovering from a wide range of complex medical conditions. The unit offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams and phlebotomy services, and is equipped to manage patients with neurological, cardiac, orthopedic, and other complex diagnoses.
