Opportunity:
Ultrasound Technologist - Inpatient
Job Details:
* Work three 12-hour shifts per week from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No call requirements
* Minimum three years of clinical experience in the respective department required
* Experience in OB/GYN, small parts, cardiovascular, and pediatrics highly preferred
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Active registry required with either Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS or RVS) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS, RVT, or RDCS)
* CPR certification and AHA BLS certification required upon hire
* Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the direction of a physician and department supervisor
* Specialize in two or more areas including cardiac, vascular, or general ultrasound
* Operate a variety of sophisticated ultrasonic imaging units and reading and reporting systems
* Review images for identification, technique, and completeness according to governing body standards
* Perform ultrasound examinations across multiple modalities including invasive techniques as applicable
* Provide care for patients ranging in age from infant through geriatric
* May float to other departments up to competency level based on organizational needs
* Required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
* Schedule may vary and can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
