Sterile Processing Tech
Job Details:
* Monday through Friday schedule, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
* Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period with the possibility of being called off for one 8-hour shift per 2 weeks
* No on-call requirements
* No weekend requirements
* Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience required
* Required certifications: HSPA/CBSPD or NBSTSA/CSPDT (one certification required, not both)
* Scrub color: Any or business casual attire accepted
* Charting system: Epic
* Required skills include: acute hospital OR, cleaning equipment (crash carts, IV pumps, PCA pumps), high-level disinfection, use of washers/sterilizers, case cart management, proper selection of wrapping materials, sterilization wrapping procedures, sets/tray assembly, equipment documentation, biological indicators, chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS)
* Surgical cases include general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, OB/GYN, podiatry, ENT, urology, and dental
* Specialty instrument experience required: ear/nose/throat, general, orthopedics, plastics, and urology
* Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
Facility:
This acute care medical center also encompasses long-term care and outpatient services, operating as a Level IV Trauma and Critical Access Hospital. The facility maintains 46 acute care beds and 22 long-term care beds, supporting a broad range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, OB/GYN, podiatry, ENT, urology, and dental procedures. Housing accommodations, including 1-bedroom apartments, and a rental car or vehicle are provided to travelers during their assignment.
