Job Details:

* 36 or 48 hour shift options available
* Weekend and holiday coverage required
* Ability to work varied shifts and/or days
* Patient ratio of 1:7 maintained across days, nights, and weekends
* 1 year of nursing experience required
* RN Idaho License required and must be in hand at time of submittal
* Required certifications: BLS, CPI, MAB
* Provide nursing care for adult patient population
* Apply nursing process knowledge for patients across age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Document patient care thoroughly following regulatory and hospital requirements
* Utilize behavior management techniques, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques
* Administer medications including antianxiety, antidepressants, antipsychotics, and mood stabilizers
* Work with patients experiencing anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, substance use, suicidal behavior, and trauma-related disorders
* Follow seclusion protocols and physical hold protocols as required
* Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records software required
* Computer skills required including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Must demonstrate strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Must exercise good judgment, patience, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
* 50-mile local radius rule applies - local candidates are not eligible

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a dedicated behavioral health unit with 19 beds and a daily census of 14 patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial staff.
