Job Details:
* Some weekend shifts required
* No on-call required
* May float between units including Mother/Baby or functionally elsewhere in the facility
* Labor patient ratio 1:2; Antepartum patient ratio 1:3
* 48 hours approved
* 2 years of experience required
* At least 1 year of L&D experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP
* Must be comfortable with high-risk labor and delivery including antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, active management of laboring patients, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
* Key clinical skills include: administration of blood and blood products, amnioinfusion, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, epidural anesthesia, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, neonatal resuscitation, postpartum hemorrhage management, and use of internal and external fetal monitoring
* Additional procedures include: cervical cerclage, cesarean section circulating and scrubbing, VBAC management, spiral electrode placement, IUPC placement and calibration, and triage of obstetrical patients
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Scrub color: Any color for RNs
* Parking is provided at no cost
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during the compliance process and prior to start

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation. With 629 staffed beds, it operates as a teaching hospital providing comprehensive care across multiple specialties. The Labor and Delivery unit handles approximately 3,600 deliveries per year across 25 rooms and 27 beds, supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more.
