Opportunity:

Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
* Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Float pool position with no home unit - RN will float to all Pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
* Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
* Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN license required
* Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
* ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
* Required skills include: Anti-Seizure Medications, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, acute airway care and maintenance, Central Line/Implanted Line care, continuous sedation, ICP monitoring, infection control/PPE, interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, management of chest tubes, pediatric dosage calculations, PICC line management, and PICU procedures
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
* Block scheduling available with manager approval based on unit needs
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
