Med/Surg RN

Job Details:

* 4x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (3x12 schedule will also be considered)
* Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required
* Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
* Travel nursing experience required - first-time travelers will not be considered
* South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
* Telemetry experience preferred, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* No parking cost
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
* Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission
* Attendance at staff meetings is required
* All assigned modules must be completed prior to start date
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, CVA, sepsis, pneumonia, dysrhythmia, diabetes, renal failure, post-surgical care, and wound care
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services

Facility:

This short-term acute care hospital operates with 97 staffed beds and a Med/Surg unit with 41 rooms and beds serving a daily census of approximately 36 patients. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams. The organization is committed to high-quality patient care across a broad range of medical and surgical diagnoses.
