Open Position: RN - ICU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $3363.40

Opportunity:

RN - ICU (Float Pool)

Job Details:

* 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, with shift times of 7:00 AM?7:30 PM or 7:00 PM?7:30 AM
* 36-hour work week consisting of three 12-hour shifts
* Schedule is based on operational need and may rotate between day and night shifts across schedule cycles
* Float pool position not unit based; must be able to float to all TCUs, ICUs, ED, and PACU within UCSF facilities
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum 4 years of recent ICU experience required
* Minimum 2.5 years of recent adult medical/surgical critical care RN experience preferred
* ECMO experience within the last 6 months to 1 year required
* Must have experience caring for ECMO patients as a bedside RN with ECMO as primary responsibility, without dedicated bedside perfusion support
* Experience required with the following devices: ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters
* CVICU, CTICU, or CCU experience required
* Travel nursing experience within the past 5 years required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Academic medical center experience highly desirable
* Strongly preferred experience includes: VA ECMO, VV ECMO, V-PA ECMO, CRRT (NxStage), IABP (Teleflex), Impella, ventricular assist devices, heart failure/cardiogenic shock, pulmonary artery catheters, prostacyclin therapies, cardiothoracic surgery recovery, heart and lung transplant recovery, and bridge to transplant
* Ability to independently manage complex critical care patients required
* Strong interpersonal communication skills required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* BSN required
* California RN license required
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submission
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more

With 600 beds and a comprehensive interdisciplinary support structure, the facility provides advanced care across a wide range of specialties including cardiovascular surgery, transplant services, neurology, and multi-organ support. The facility serves adult and geriatric patient populations and maintains a robust float pool model that allows clinical staff to support various units and campuses based on operational need.
