Job Details:
* Work in a high-volume emergency department with 101 beds
* Patient ratios are typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
* Every other weekend scheduling required with flexibility to meet department needs
* Block scheduling is not available
* Must be open to floating to all sections within the ED; no floating outside of the ED
* Use Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
* Document using Cerner electronic health record system
* Follow AIDET patient experience standards and maintain updated patient boards throughout each visit
* Navy scrubs required as dress code
* Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with at least 1 year in an ER setting
* Previous experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) preferred
* Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
* Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
* Required certifications prior to start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
* ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
