Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 3x12 day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No on-call requirements
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
* Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips - failure results in contract termination
* Care for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and open heart surgery patients downgraded from ICU
* Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
* May float to intensive care units for telemetry or medically appropriate assignments, medical surgical units, and other facility locations
* Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
* Facility reserves the right to call off without penalty up to 48 hours for low census per 13-week contract, including full or partial shifts

This facility is recognized in the top 1% nationwide for outstanding care in heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical procedures. It is an extremely busy and fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius, operating as a Level II Trauma Center with stroke accreditation and 800 inpatient beds. The volume and pace of this facility are comparable to that of a Level I trauma center. The facility offers comprehensive services including primary care, heart care, OB/GYN, surgical services, rehabilitation, nuclear medicine, and imaging services, all within a collaborative, multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.
