Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Emergency Department unit with 24 beds and a staff of 45
* Day shift staffing includes 4 RNs, 1 Charge RN, 2 mid-shift RNs, 1 mid-shift Unit Clerk, and 1 EMT
* Patient ratios of 4:1, with 5:1 during surge periods
* Work with GE monitors and EMR systems Meditech and CPN
* At least 1 year of current hospital ED experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC (CPI Blue Card required; PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC)
* Preferred certifications: CEN and CPEN
* US IV competency preferred
* Pediatric Emergency Department experience preferred for pediatric ED
* Perform procedures including port access, IV start, venipuncture, nasal wash, point of care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip), EKG, and Foley placement

This facility is a full-service acute care hospital featuring a robust Emergency Department equipped with modern GE monitoring technology and advanced EMR systems. The emergency department operates with a dedicated team of experienced nurses, charge nurses, and EMTs across both day and night shifts, ensuring comprehensive patient care around the clock. The facility maintains high standards of patient care with structured staffing ratios and supports staff with access to the latest medical technology and a collaborative team environment.
