Opportunity:

Cardiac Sonographer

Job Details:

* Day shift position with four 10-hour shifts
* Shift start times are 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM
* No set days of the week - schedule will rotate
* 2 to 3 days of call per week
* 5 or more years of experience required
* Perform ultrasound technical duties for imaging heart muscle and functions
* Create images of the heart, cardiac chambers, valves, and vessels to assess heart functions and diagnoses
* Collaborate closely with cardiologists, performing technical aspects of examinations and evaluating findings
* Set up ultrasound equipment, attach electrodes to patient chest, and document cardiac data and measurements
* Prepare patients by positioning, spreading gels, attaching electrodes, verifying wave signals, and recording images
* Interview patients and review medical records to adapt sonographic techniques
* Perform echocardiography on treadmill patients to assess heart functions
* Maintain equipment and inventories, restock supplies, and enter patient information into appropriate systems
* Required certifications: ARDMS, RCS, CPR, and BLS (from approved vendor)
* Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification from ARDMS or CCI required
* Echocardiography (ECG) certification preferred
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
