Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts available on both day (7:00 AM) and night (7:00 PM) schedules
* Rotating weekends every other weekend required
* Rotating holidays required
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:9-12
* Charge nurse handles all admissions and physician orders
* Unit orientation of 1-2 shifts
* No floating required
* Royal blue scrubs required
* No false nails permitted
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Charting system: EPIC
* BSN not required
* Valid West Virginia nursing license required for submission
* Required certifications: BLS, WV Cares
* Care for post-acute patients including post-op hips, knees, and shoulders, as well as patients with diagnoses such as pneumonia and CHF requiring additional rehabilitation before discharge
* IV Team available, though nurses are expected to attempt IV placement first
* Respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and IV team support available 24/7
* No telemetry or ventilator management required
* 32-bed unit focused on geriatric and post-acute care
* All submissions must include a copy of candidate's unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)

This hospital-based skilled nursing facility is located on the fifth floor of a larger acute-care hospital, providing a unique bridge between high-tech hospitalization and home care. The unit specializes in geriatric nursing and restorative care, focusing on improving patients' health skills and ability to function within the community.
