RN L&D DAYS-MCR

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on various days of the week
* Every other weekend required, subject to change based on unit needs
* On-call required: 1 shift every 6 weeks
* Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
* First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
* Patient ratio of 1:4, with 1-2 patients during labor and 3-4 patients postpartum
* Charting system: Epic (experience preferred)
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Float may be required within Women and Infants service line to sister facilities within the North region per facility request
* Unit has 22 beds serving neonatal and adult patient populations
* Orientation hours: 36
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS, STABLE
* Key skills required include: Labor & Delivery, Cesarean Section, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Neonatal Resuscitation, Fetal Heart Monitoring (internal and external), Pre-eclampsia/eclampsia management, Pitocin administration, VBAC management, and couplet care
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams

The unit operates with strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The organization maintains high standards of patient care with a focus on maternal and neonatal health across multiple locations within the North region.
