Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
* Holiday rotation required
* Temp to perm opportunity
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities or permanently switched to CSC, ART, or West Campus
* Guaranteed hours: facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
* Preferred case experience: Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN
* Required certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA (IAHCSMM)
* BLS not required
* Travel experience required
* No more than 2 callouts without a doctor's note; 3rd callout may result in removal
* No more than 3 tardies permitted
* If holidays are not requested in RTO and facility is open, traveler is expected to work
* Traveler will be added to Inclement Weather Team A or B with expectations provided by management
* Parking cost: nights and weekends only with a one-time payment of $20 for a parking pass
* Skills include: sterilization wrapping, sets/tray assembly, high-level disinfection, scope/probe reprocessing, steam sterilization testing, biological and chemical indicators, robotics, laparoscopic, orthopedics, neurology, urology, transplant, and more

This is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The facility provides comprehensive care across multiple campuses and specialty areas, supporting a wide range of surgical and procedural needs. As a Magnet-designated institution, it is recognized for nursing excellence and high standards of patient care across all departments.
