Opportunity:

Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

* Work 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with shifts varying as work continues until procedures are complete
* Daily caseload consists of 4 to 5 labs per day with 2-3 CVT per lab, totaling approximately 20-25 cases per day
* On-call required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per 7 weeks, plus one call shift and one evening shift every week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
* Holiday coverage required as needed
* No floating between service lines or sister facilities required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to equal 1 shift
* 2+ years of Cath Lab experience required
* Must be proficient in coronary diagnostic/intervention scrub and monitoring
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process), and SC license (SCRQSA)
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Community hospital experience required
* Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab
* Key skills required include: accurate monitoring, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), rotablator atherectomy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, embolization, Impella insertion, IVC filter placement, and PACS
* Special equipment used includes: Impella, Balloon Pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave, MAC Lab documentation system, and Vidistar image storage
* Patient diagnoses include: diagnostic and interventional coronary cath, diagnostic and interventional vascular, angioplasty, shockwave, temporary pacer, IABP, Impella, carotid angiogram, atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), FFR/IFR, pericardiocentesis, and cardiac biopsies
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* 5 procedure rooms available on unit

This acute care hospital features 304 staffed beds and provides a comprehensive range of cardiac and interventional vascular services. The facility operates a robust Cath Lab program running multiple labs simultaneously each day, supporting a high-volume caseload of diagnostic and interventional procedures. The organization utilizes Epic for charting and maintains modern imaging and documentation systems to support a multidisciplinary care team.
