Opportunity:
Cath Lab RN
Job Details:
* Work 4x10 shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with hours varying as staff remain until procedures are complete
* 1:1 patient ratio with a daily census of approximately 20 cases
* On-call required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month and one weekday call shift every week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
* Weekend coverage required per call schedule
* No floating between service lines or sister facilities
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Perform and assist with peripheral and coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures
* Work with special equipment including Impella, balloon pump, Angiojet, and Shock Wave devices
* Utilize Epic for charting
* Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
* 2 years of experience required; EP/Cath experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
* Key skills required include cardiac stent placement, diagnostic cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology (EP) lab, Impella insertion, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring
* Block schedule available pending manager approval based on unit needs
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

The facility is equipped with advanced technology and specialized equipment to support complex cardiac and interventional procedures, maintaining a high standard of patient care for adult and geriatric populations.
