Job Details:

* Minimum 2.5 years of experience required
* Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS
* EPIC charting experience required
* Circulating required; scrubbing preferred in CVOR and Hybrid Room
* Must have some degree of transplant experience; cardiac, lung, and/or kidney experience highly preferred
* Cardiovascular experience required: valve replacement, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), aortic aneurysm repair, dissection, and VATs
* Vascular experience required: endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, trans carotid artery revascularization (TCAR), AV fistula, and femoral popliteal bypass graft
* Hybrid Room and endovascular experience required
* On-call requirement: 24-hour on-call Saturday and Sunday one weekend per month; two weekday on-call 8-hour shifts either 3:00 PM?11:00 PM or 11:00 PM?7:00 AM
* Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit needs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* May float to main OR for primarily orthopedic and general cases, as well as laparoscopic, GYN, robotic, ortho/neuro, vascular, and pediatric surgery
* Hospital-provided scrubs
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted

This facility is a 665-bed quaternary teaching hospital and a key member of a major health system. The cardiovascular operating room supports a high-acuity, high-volume surgical program, performing complex procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, aortic and vascular surgeries, and endovascular cases in hybrid OR suites. The unit is staffed by highly specialized multidisciplinary teams utilizing state-of-the-art technology. The facility is renowned for its advanced cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and transplant programs and is home to one of the nation's largest and most established heart transplant centers.
