Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts available on days and nights
* Self-scheduling with block scheduling approved but not required
* 6 weekend shifts required per six-week contract period
* No on-call required
* No floating between units
* Patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
* Care for patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Treat patients with diagnoses including stroke, STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, abdominal pain, trauma, shortness of breath, asthma, GU complaints, headaches, sore throat, and lacerations
* Perform skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, IV vasopressors, management of dysrhythmias, and triage
* Work within a comprehensive stroke, Level II trauma, and STEMI facility
* Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required (hard stop)
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* LTAC experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Dress code for licensed nursing personnel: solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire (print tops are not acceptable)
* Free parking available in unrestricted surface parking lots designated for Employee/Visitor Parking
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds and a 42-room emergency department with 46 beds. The facility maintains a daily census of 136 and provides comprehensive services including stroke care, STEMI response, and Level II trauma care. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support.
