Opportunity:

Radiologic Technologist

Job Details:

* Perform a full range of diagnostic radiography exams in a safe and prudent manner to produce highest quality diagnostic results
* Utilize automatic exposure control and technical factors including kvp, ma, time, and distance accurately
* Select appropriate cassette types, collimation, and tomographic factors for each exam
* Assist attending physicians during radiological exams as needed
* Apply proper positioning techniques to image and identify appropriate body parts and acquire necessary views
* Transport, transfer, and position patients safely while evaluating their mental and physical condition
* Follow hospital, departmental, and examination protocols
* Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment and perform quality assurance on films and equipment
* Schedule examinations and review daily scheduled exams for corrections, additions, and cancellations
* Ensure exams are completed including Teleradiology of films
* Perform necessary paperwork and archiving
* Handle confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
* Apply infection control principles and maintain sterile techniques
* Occasional heavy lifting required (up to 50 lbs.)
* Frequent and prolonged standing and walking required
* Must be enrolled in an ARRT-approved program
* Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification RT(R) required
* ARRT(R) registration required
* CPR certification at the Healthcare Provider (HCP) level required within three months of hire
* Must demonstrate competency on department-specific equipment checklist
* Up to 24 hours of call off available to the facility at no cost during the course of the assignment
