Opportunity:

Radiology Technologist

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* No on-call responsibilities
* Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an X-Ray Technologist required
* Associate's Degree in radiologic technology preferred
* Required certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography (ARRT-R), Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor, Fluoroscopy license required in California within 6 months of hire
* Active Radiologic Technologist (RT) state license required
* Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians
* Position and instruct patients prior to examinations
* Adjust x-ray equipment and determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph
* Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation
* Explain procedures to patients and answer questions
* Prepare equipment and examination rooms for patient exams
* Monitor patients and ensure safety during exams
* Produce diagnostic images and document exam information
* Report important information to the physician and verify exams on PACS
