Opportunity:
Lab Instructor-Radiology Education Trainer
Job Details:
* Onsite position located at Mission Center Building
* 30-40 hours per week with full-time hours available
* Class schedule: Monday 9:00 AM?12:00 PM and 5:30?8:30 PM; Tuesday 6:30?9:30 PM; Wednesday 9:00 AM?12:00 PM and 5:30?8:30 PM; Thursday 6:30?9:30 PM
* Deliver hands-on, face-to-face laboratory instruction within an 18-month radiology technology program
* Facilitate small-group laboratory sessions of approximately six students each in Introduction to Patient Care and Introduction to Radiography
* Demonstrate and supervise both energized and non-energized laboratory practice
* Reinforce radiation safety and patient care principles including ALARA, shielding, collimation, infection control, and safe patient handling
* Evaluate students' skill acquisition using objective, documented criteria
* Work under the direction of the Program Director and in coordination with the Clinical Coordinator
* May be assigned to one or both lab types based on qualifications, experience, and program need
* Maintain a safe, organized, and equitable laboratory environment consistent with JRCERT Standards including the 1:1 student-to-equipment ratio
* Align laboratory activities with didactic content and program learning outcomes
* Proficiency with standard office software and learning management/clinical tracking platforms required
* Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field required (or equivalent experience/training)
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Required certifications: Current, unrestricted ARRT certification and registration in Radiography R(R), current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT)/state radiologic technology license, and current BLS/CPR certification for healthcare providers
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
