Opportunity:
RN - Telemetry
Job Details:
* 12-hour night shifts required
* Weekend requirement based on unit needs and demands
* Holiday requirement to be discussed with manager during phone interview
* Standby requirement is standard shift with a 1-hour response time
* Floating to like departments may be required as needed
* Unit orientation is 2-3 shifts
* 18-bed Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
* Nurse aides on unit with a 1:9 ratio
* Care for Medical Oncology patients with Medical Surgical overflow including CHF, DM, UTI, non-critical sepsis, HTN, and COPD
* Required to titrate drips including comfort care medicated drips, Limited Heparin drip, and Cardizem drip (up to 10mg/hr)
* Common titratable drips include comfort care drips (Narcotics and Benzodiazepines), Heparin, and Cardizem (up to 10ml/hr)
* Monitor techs on unit and RNs are required to read strips
* Equipment includes CPAP and BiPAP (no high flow)
* Charge RN and house supervisor support available on unit
* Epic experience is required
* Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
* Bio/Chemotherapy Certification preferred but not required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* WA state or Compact license required
* BSN not required
* Professional dress code and scrub color required
* Charting system: Epic
* Acute care setting

This is a brand new department opening in December within an acute care facility featuring a dedicated Telemetry unit in the North Tower. The facility provides comprehensive support services including charge RN oversight, monitor technicians, and nurse aides. The organization is committed to high-quality patient care and maintains modern equipment and technology to support diverse patient needs across Medical Oncology and Medical Surgical populations.
