Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Must work holidays in November and December; manager may consider 1 of the 3 holidays if it does not conflict with unit demands
* No on-call or standby requirement; extra shifts available but not required
* No floating requirements
* Patient ratios of 1:3, or 1:4 for low acuity patients
* Work in a 56-bed ER/Trauma Center with capacity expanding to 60-70 beds with hall beds
* Fast track area with 6 beds and separate triage area with 5 beds available
* 18 designated holding beds within the ED for inpatients awaiting bed placement
* Manage common diagnoses including cardiac, stroke, sepsis, DKA, AMS, respiratory, abdominal pain, and mental health cases
* Department sees approximately 170-200 patients per day
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Any professional colors
* Orientation includes 1 day of compliance information (8-10 hours) and 1 day of department orientation (12 hours)
* No RTO will be considered during the first full week of assignment
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a larger trauma setting required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS
* Washington state license or Compact license required
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a large ER/Trauma Center equipped with comprehensive emergency services, including a dedicated fast track area, separate triage and psychiatric treatment rooms, and in-house security. The facility supports a high patient volume with advanced resources including Monitor Techs, ED Techs, respiratory therapy staff, and a radiology department adjacent to the emergency department. The organization utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system and provides robust support staff including charge nurses, house supervisors, and ED technicians to ensure quality patient care.
