Opportunity:
RN - Trauma Tele
Job Details:
* Work on a 36-bed Trauma Telemetry unit (A4W Trauma Tele) located on the 5th floor
* Day shift ratios: 1:5/6 RN to patient; Night shift ratios: 1:6/7 RN to patient
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC, and 1-2 sitters
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 0.5 HUC, and 1-2 sitters
* Must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday count as weekend shifts on night shift)
* Prepare patients for Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and OR procedures
* Utilize medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), and VC150s available in every patient room
* Use workstation on wheels provided for every staff member and Tap and Go for computer/documentation access
* Document using Cerner EMR
* Float to sister Med-Surge units: 3W, 5W, and K8 as needed
* Dress code: Navy blue top and bottom, white top and navy blue bottom, or all white scrubs
* Required certification: BLS
* CMSRN certification encouraged
* Medical telemetry experience required
* Leadership and charge nurse experience preferred
* BSN preferred
