Job Details:

* CNA certification required at time of submission
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* BLS certification required
* Long term care experience required
* LTAC experience preferred
* Travel experience required; no first-time travelers (locals accepted)
* Epic charting system experience required
* Every other weekend required
* Holiday policy requires working 2 of 3 holidays
* Patient age groups include infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
* Patient ratios: Days 1:8, Nights 1:12, Weekends 1:10
* Daily census of approximately 60 patients
* Any color or pattern scrubs accepted
* Care provided to complex patient population including chromosomal disorders, craniofacial anomalies, complex seizure disorders, complications of prematurity, degenerative disease processes, mechanical ventilator dependency, neurological impairments, neuromuscular diseases, orthopedic anomalies and conditions, traumatic brain injury, and terminal illnesses
* Required skills include assist with ambulation, assist with feeding patients, bathing/hygiene, complete bed bath, Hoyer lift operation, isolation precautions/PPE, safe patient transfers, skin care, urine/stool incontinence care, pressure injury prevention, and additional CNA competencies

This specialized pediatric long-term care facility provides care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to a complex and medically fragile patient population. The facility is equipped to support patients with a wide range of complex conditions including neurological impairments, mechanical ventilator dependency, and traumatic brain injuries. With a dedicated interdisciplinary approach, the facility is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to infants, children, and adolescents with specialized medical needs.
